FreeKeyLessons.com offers two types of services:
The free Starter Kit (email course, PDFs, chord chart) is a complimentary marketing offer and is not a paid contract under these Terms.
For digital courses, the contract is formed upon completion of payment; access is unlocked automatically and immediately afterwards. For 1-on-1 coaching, the contract is formed upon confirmation of the booked session or upon payment for the coaching programme.
All prices shown are final prices. Payment is accepted by credit card or PayPal via the payment provider offered at checkout. For consumers in Portugal/the EU, applicable VAT is included where relevant; no EU VAT applies for consumers outside the EU.
Consumers within the EU generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date the contract is formed. Because digital course content is provided immediately at the customer's express request, the right of withdrawal expires once the customer expressly agrees, before delivery begins, that performance may start before the withdrawal period ends and that this results in loss of the right of withdrawal (checkout confirmation checkbox, in line with Art. 16(m) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive).
For 1-on-1 coaching, the standard 14-day right of withdrawal applies unless the session has already begun with the customer's express consent within the withdrawal period.
Outside of a validly exercised withdrawal or a proven defect, refunds for digital content that has already been unlocked are excluded. In case of technical defects, free remediation is offered first. For 1-on-1 coaching sessions, the usual goodwill cancellation rules apply: free rescheduling up to at least 24 hours before the session; cancellations by the provider are rescheduled at no cost.
Course materials provided are protected by copyright and intended solely for personal, non-commercial use. Redistribution, reproduction, or public sharing is not permitted.
Notice for German-resident customers (FernUSG): Recorded self-paced courses may qualify as "Fernunterricht" under German law (Fernunterrichtsschutzgesetz). Without approval from the German State Central Office for Distance Learning (ZFU), such a contract with a consumer resident in Germany may be unenforceable under certain circumstances. Customers resident in Germany are encouraged to contact us at hello@freekeylessons.com with any questions before enrolling.
Note for 1-on-1 Coaching: Live coaching via Zoom may also qualify as "Fernunterricht" under the FernUSG. German-resident customers considering 1-on-1 coaching are advised to contact us before booking.
The provider is liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, and for culpable injury to life, body, or health. For ordinary negligence, the provider is liable only for breach of material contractual obligations and limited to foreseeable, typical damage.
Changes to these Terms will be published on this page with an updated date and apply to contracts entered into from the date of publication onward.
These Terms are governed by Portuguese law. Mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country in which you have your habitual residence remain unaffected. The EU Online Dispute Resolution platform is available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
Should any provision be invalid, the remainder of the contract remains valid. The version of these Terms published at freekeylessons.com/page-terms applies.
