What Level 2 Students Say

★★★★★

"After Level 1 I could play basics. After Level 2, I can actually perform. Playing Für Elise for friends felt incredible — and the jazz voicings completely changed how I approach chords."

Marcus K.
Level 2 Student · Berlin, Germany
★★★★★

"The note-reading module alone was worth €133. I can now look at a note chart and play it immediately — that felt like magic after years of playing by ear only."

Anna P.
Level 2 Student · Graz, Austria
★★★★★

"Mirco's explanation of chord inversions finally made sense of something I'd been confused about for years. The monthly Q&A call is also brilliant — very personal for an online course."

David L.
Level 2 Student · Zurich, Switzerland

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to finish Level 1 first?

Level 2 assumes the foundation built in Level 1: reading note names across the staff, playing the C, F and G major chords along with A minor, D minor and E minor, and coordinating a simple melody in the right hand with a bass line in the left. If you already have that from Level 1 or from equivalent prior experience — a few years of lessons elsewhere, or self-taught practice that covers the same ground — you can start directly in Level 2 without working through Level 1 first. If you're not sure where you stand, two options: try the free 5-day starter course to gauge your current level, or start with Piano Level 1 (€63, 28 lessons) and progress naturally into Level 2 afterward. Skipping ahead when the fundamentals are shaky tends to slow progress rather than speed it up, so an honest self-assessment against the prerequisites above is worth the few minutes it takes.

What's new in Level 2 compared to Level 1?

Level 1 gets you playing basic melodies and chords with both hands; Level 2 takes that and builds real musicianship. It expands to 42 structured video lessons across five modules — all 12 major and minor scales with fingering and arpeggios, advanced harmony (7th chords, inversions, voice leading, the Circle of Fifths, jazz-influenced voicings), a dedicated sight-reading module with 60 progressive exercises, and technique work covering legato, staccato, pedal control and dynamic range. You also work through a full repertoire of 8 complete pieces spanning classical, jazz, pop and folk, including Für Elise and a simplified Moonlight Sonata movement. Two things aren't in Level 1 at all: access to the private student community and a monthly live Q&A group call with Mirco Lieber himself. Level 2 students also receive a priority upgrade credit toward the Complete Bundle if they later want to add Level 1 material and coaching.

Is there a guarantee on Level 2?

Yes. Level 2 comes with the same 7-day money-back guarantee as Level 1. If you enrol and decide within 7 days that it isn't the right fit — the pace doesn't suit you, the repertoire isn't your style, or you simply expected something different — you get a full refund, no questions asked, no forms to justify the decision. The €133 is a one-time payment for lifetime access, so there's no subscription to cancel either way. In practice, most students know within the first module or two whether the course matches how they learn, well inside the 7-day window.
